Martha Jefferson Hospital's Sleep Medicine Center offers a comfortable homelike setting where board-certified physicians evaluate and treat sleep disorders. Using state-of-the-art technology, studies are performed under the direct observation of trained sleep technologists.

Chris Winter, MD
Dr. Winter is a board certified sleep medicine specialist and board certified neurologist who has been involved in sleep research since 1993. His work has appeared in Sleep and other peer-reviewed medical journals and has been presented at numerous national sleep meetings. He has completed a sleep fellowship at the University of North Carolina and is excited about developing Martha Jefferson Hospital's Sleep Medicine Center into a premier sleep center.

William Hammond, MD
Dr. Hammond is board certified in sleep medicine, internal medicine, pulmonary medicine and critical care. He completed his fellowship in pulmonology at the University of Virginia. He is experienced in sleep medicine and has special clinical interest in the
diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders. In addition, Dr. Hammond is the Medical Director of the Intensive Care Unit and Respiratory Therapy at Martha Jefferson Hospital.

also includes board registered polysomnographic technicians, respiratory therapists and a registered EEG technician. Each of them works closely with the physicians to ensure patients receive the highest quality care.
